2.1 Hardware & Software Requirements

The first thing that you will need for this project, except the Raspberry Pi and all the supporting components, is the PowerSwitch Tail Kit. Here is a picture of this component:

Note that there are many of these kits available, whether you want a EU or US version for example. I used the EU version for all these tutorials, but any version will work just fine as well.
